GorroBoys (“GorroBoys”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates gorroboys.com and hub.gorroboys.com (the “Services”). We are a digital product studio based in Ghana, West Africa, building AI-powered business automation products.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our Services. By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
When you use our platform, your customers’ WhatsApp phone numbers, display names, and conversation messages are stored on your behalf. You are the data controller for this information; GorroBoys acts as a data processor. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to collect and process your customers’ data.
If you use our Social Media Manager service, we additionally process: OAuth access tokens for connected social accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X); post content and media you submit for scheduling; engagement data such as comments, likes, and direct messages from connected platforms; and audience analytics provided by those platforms. This data is processed solely to deliver the social media automation service and is not used for any other purpose. Each connected platform’s own privacy policy also applies to data held on their systems.
When visitors interact with the WhatsApp chat widget embedded on your Smart Website, their WhatsApp phone number, display name, and conversation content are collected and processed on your behalf as customer data (see section 2.3 above). As the website operator, you are the data controller for your visitors’ information and are responsible for disclosing this data collection in your own website’s privacy notice or cookie banner.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Conversation and contact data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days after cancellation, during which you may request an export. After 30 days, all data associated with your account is permanently deleted.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to the rights and freedoms of affected individuals, we will notify you without undue delay and, where feasible, within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach. Our notification will include: the nature of the breach, the categories and approximate number of individuals and data records affected, the likely consequences, and the steps we are taking or propose to take to address it, including measures to mitigate any adverse effects. Where we are unable to provide full information within 72 hours, we will provide it in phases as it becomes available.

We will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and respond fully within 30 days. There is no charge for reasonable requests; we reserve the right to charge a reasonable administrative fee for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.
